It's time for our Annual Worm Drive!
We have just 10 days to raise $4,124. Do you want to feed a wren? A chimney swift? Or maybe a nighthawk? Click the Donate button to pick what type of bird you want to feed. Every year the number of birds we take in grows and this year was no exception. During peak season we ordered 40,000-60,000 worms each week. Between the months of May through August, we spent $4,124 on just worms alone! This amount does not include the cost of fruit, caging, pee pads, or any other supplies used to keep our birds healthy and ready to be introduced back into the wild. That was just worms! To help us keep up with the costs of worms every year, we host an annual worm drive to raise money and keep our birds bellies full and happy. Whether you are able donate $10 or $500, every little bit helps, it all adds up! Why are worms so important? Worms are our number one, healthiest and most vital source of protein to raise our wild birds. Even our seed eating friends love to dine on live worms. So please donate, share, and help support the wild birds we all love. We appreciate that you love birds and love what we do! Help us feed the birds! |
