This #GivingTuesday, we’re asking for your help with two essential needs:
Winter Care: Support for the birds arriving this winter and continued care for those already in our hospital who need food, housing, and medical treatment during the cold months.
A New Outdoor Aviary: A specially designed space for our education ambassadors and recovery areas for larger birds, something we’ve needed for a long time.
Our goal this year is to raise $8,000:
• $3,000 for winter medical care, food, and housing
• $5,000 for a new large-bird aviary that will transform how we care for these species

Wild birds play a critical role in our ecosystem, and with the population of birds in decline, now is the time to make changes. At IBR, we not only want to support our community in providing a place to take injured and orphaned wild birds, but also provide education, outreach, and be a beacon for wildlife conservation.
We are a 501c3 nonprofit that rehabilitates wild birds in the state of Iowa.

Our mission is two-fold:
- To address the immediate needs of sick, injured, or orphaned wild birds with the goal to return them to the wild
- The long-term goal to help educate and bring awareness to a global issue, birds are disappearing at an alarming rate
