Which birdhouse calls to you?

IBR is excited to launch our first online auction!
Eleven local artists created some of the most beautiful and unique birdhouses we have ever seen.  Each one comes with a statement as to what inspired the artist and a fully functional birdhouse for the birds.
Both you and the birds win!

Bidding starts on Friday, Oct 20th, at 12pm.  You will have 5 days to bid on the house you want.  Bidding closes on Tuesday the 24th at 8pm.
View now, decide which one (or two!) you want, bid, and win! Not only is this a great gift for yourself, but a great gift for the bird lovers in your life.

The proceeds from this fundraiser will help us prepare for winter.  We will purchase more indoor caging, enrichment toys, as well as food to help us over winter the birds in our care.

Winning donors will be notify October 24 after close of auction. Payment is due at closing.
Winning bidders will be notified by email.

After learning that this house is built to attract bluebirds, I researched colors that are attractive and beneficial to the bluebird habitat. I wanted it to feel like a cozy home, so I used basic images that make my home so wonderful. I even used my version of my front door and windows. It was a fun project and I hope it helps out the tweet birdies ❤️

HONK HONK!

When I first was asked about doing a birdhouse, this was the first bird that came to mind. A goose! I thought it would be fitting, I grew up with pet geese and my nickname is goose.

Taking the the natural textures of the wood, I layered paint in to create a unique finish as the golden hue for a garden cottage vibe for a feathered resident to call home.

Painted with acrylics, this birdhouse gives a rolling hills of Iowa landscape that wraps around the entirety of the structure. The cows are healthy and happy to roam free in the pasture as their natural habitat. May this birdhouse give you warm feelings of Iowa life on the farm and the joy of knowing how many farmers in Iowa are returning to localized farming to ensure their animals are thriving.
