DONATE TO Iowa Bird Rehabilitation

Donations to Iowa Bird Rehabilitation go to food sources, temporary housing, medical costs, and travel for recovery and release.

This is probably the most important aspect of running a non-profit wildlife center, because without your help, we could not fund the cost affiliated with feeding all the hungry birds that come into our care.

No donation is too small.  Maybe even consider a monthly donation?

OTHER WAYS TO DONATE

Worms

*Worms are purchased through RainbowMealworms.net |1-800-777-9676
*We use mostly medium mealworms, but would also appreciate small mealworms and wax worms as well.
Orders can be mailed to:
Iowa Bird Rehab

3108 49th St. Des Moines, IA 50310
Two-day shipping is best
*Wheat bran and baby carrots are needed for worm food and bedding.

Knitted Nests

Looking for a fun way to support rehabilitators all over the country?
Knit or crochet some baby bird nests!
If you find a pattern and would like to knit us some nests, please use machine washable yarn, the stiffer the sides the better (to help keep the baby birds from falling over the edge), and we typically use 3-6 inch diameter nest the most, but would love any size you make.

Fruit & Veggies

Our birds love fruit!
They do have some favorites, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and small red grapes.
We also give them bagged pre-washed spinach.
Other fruit ideas include small green grapes, aronia berries, and red raspberries.
(No citrus or tropical fruits)
*A great gift idea for IBR  would be a gift certificate to Aldi.
